Yeah, all photographers have one largest nightmare.
And that one is falling in love with a camera that we don't own. I started looking for a medium format slr camera for myself. I really want a medium format film camera. And you know on what have i stumbled upon?
A Hasselblad 500 C/M. Oh, what a camera. A bit modified one (ok, the electric one) got to the moon. But what a camera. Pure mechanics, perfect if maintained.
Here are some links to it: [link]
Ok, just one link. If i would manage to get my hands on one of those, with 5 to 10 film backs, 3 lenses (50mm, 80mm and 150mm/180mm), and (maybe) a 45º metering prism.
Then you would prob read about a person from Croatia gone missing for a couple of months. Just me, my own Zorki 4k (35 + 50 mm lens) and Hasselblad 500 C/M with a lot of films, scouting the countries of the third world. Living of the grid, just carrying my cameras (Zorki is a pocket camera to be honest), a lot of films and that is it. Trying to find places where i could shoot b/w film photography, and trying to make a name for myself.
Any crisis zone, war zone, well any third world country would do. I would just love to do something like this.
